Become an OAS Peer Coach

The OAS Peer Coach Program is a yearlong, in-person opportunity for motivated UF students to mentor peers, lead student success initiatives, and contribute to an inclusive campus environment. Through coaching, event planning, and community building, Peer Coaches help new students thrive academically and socially at UF. Applicants must have a 2.8+ GPA, be in good standing, and commit to all training and program dates.

Key Highlights:

  • Volunteer position for high-achieving UF undergrads
  • Gain leadership, mentoring, and public speaking experience
  • Build skills in communication, problem-solving, and teamwork
  • Flexible schedule: ~3–5 hours/week during Fall, Spring & Summer B
  • Work closely with OAS staff, attend events, and help foster an inclusive student community
